PhD Faculty Meetup 2 Department of Biomedical Engineering

Meeting minutes:

The meeting was started with the recitation of Sura Al-Fatiha by the chair. The chair welcomed all participants and formally started the meeting with the agenda items. In a circulated form, all PhD faculty members completed the details of their tentative FDP session, attached. Three book titles were identified tentatively to produce in this semester, each by the respective program. There was a short discussion on the research strategy. The chair clearly communicated the need to align research efforts to the national benefit and as a service to the Hamdard business. The meeting was ended by the vote of thanks by the chair. 

The agenda items for the next meeting are as follows. 

• Research strategy : Gaining the HEC PhD approved supervisor status and post-doc opportunities nearby through collaboration 
• Service model for the profession : Gaining excellence in teaching and to offer service to the Hamdard industry
• Product development : Each program should adopt a product development model of respective discipline 
• Any other agenda item with the permission of the chair
