A team of three, including myself, Dr. Khalid, and Dr. Najamuddin from Hamdard University, attended a one-day session: IEEE R10 Conference Quality Workshop 2026, Beyond Podium: Quality Assurance and Ethical Excellence in Conference, organized by IEEE Karachi Section and Dawood University of Engineering & Technology, which was held on November 5, 2026. Thanks to Prof. Dr. Syed Sajjad Hussain Rizvi, Dean, FEST, for the nomination, and Dr. Muhammad Faisal Khan, Associate Professor & Chairman, Department of Electrical Engineering, UITU, for the invitation. HU team is thankful to DUET for the hospitality. The workshop started at 10 am with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. After the national anthem, the Director, QEC, DUET, delivered a welcome address. The distinguished speakers included respected DUET faculty members and IEEE Karachi Section office bearers, notably Prof. Dr. Shahid Shaikh, Prof. Dr. Tariq Rahim, and Engr. Parkash Lohana. The workshop concluded with remarks from Prof. Asif Shah, PVC, DUET, and Prof. Dr. Arsalan Ansari. We met several past colleagues: Prof. Dr. Adnan Ahmed Siddiqui, UIT, Engr. Saqib Munawwar, NHU; and HU alumni, including Prof. Dr. Nadia and Dr. Rizwan. Many useful interactions were held during tea breaks and lunch. There was a memory recall. I was a student of BE Electronics Engineering, session 1992-93, during 1994-1998.
