Prof. Dr. Manzoor Hashamani from University Technology PETRONAS, Malaysia visited Hamdard University on Friday 22 November 2019 to present an overview of research and development facilities at UTP. The discussion included opportunities of jointly funded research projects (between Hamdard University and UTP). Note: MoU between UTP and HU has already been signed for academic and research collaboration. The arrangements were made by Engr. Dr. Sajjad Hussain Rizvi, Associate Professor and Chairman, Department of Computer System Engineering, Hamdard University.

HU BME Faculty Visited Hamdard Industrial Complex

Hamdard University (HU) Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) faculty members visited Hamdard Industrial Complex (HIC).The visit was organized by Industrial Relations Department of Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Technology. Faculty members included Dr. Tariq Javid, Associate Professor & Chairman, Engr. Muhammad Faris, Engr. Muhammad Danish Mujib, and Engr. Tayyab Ahmed Ansari. Mr. Tahir Mustafa, General Manager, HIC welcomed the HU BME team members. Mr. Qamar Ali and Hk Saleem Uddin of HIC joined the brief introduction and discussion session on possibility of collaboration in different areas, for example, curriculum design for BS Food Science and Technology program, industrial visit by students, etc. Mr. Qamar and Hk. Saleem facilitated the visit to Rooh Afza plant, Nonehal plant, RO plant, and Quality Assurance Department of HIC.

In a discussion with Engr. Azhar Dilshad on his PhD research work, I came up with the idea to generate data from real-time visual display. A subset of idea is implemented in Python. The code below is fairly simple and self explanatory.

A number of enhancements to the code are possible. Few, I am interested in are: x and y axis labels, and implementation on real time image data frames. 

 

AKU CIME Visit to Discuss Collaboration in Learning and Research

Engr. Prof. Dr. M. Anwaar Manzar (TI), Dean Faculty of Engineering Sciences & Technology and Engr. Dr. Tariq Javid (myself), Associate Professor & Chairman, Department of Biomedical Engineering visited Aga Khan University Center of Innovation in Medical Education (AKU CIME) on Monday 15 July 2019 to see state-of-the-art medical simulation facilities at AKU CIME and discussed collaboration in learning and research.
