Speaker Session at Research Expo for Emerging Technologies

Dr. Tariq Javid, Associate Professor & Chairman, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Sciences & Technology, Hamdard University, delivered a speech on Emerging Technologies in Cardiac Imaging-Genetics Research at Research Expo for Emerging Technologies, organized by the Department of Bioinformatics, Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology on 16^th December 2021. The main topic of speech includes: “Imaging-genetics aims to dissect and characterize the complex interplay between imaging-derived phenotypes and environmental and genetic factors.” This brief keynote speech presents an overview of emerging technologies in cardiac imaging-genomics. AI methods, such as machine learning, are particularly suited to tackle the big data challenges. AI methods, such as deep learning, are typically appropriate to address the challenges faced by traditional statistical approaches that arise due to scalability and high dimensionality.
